A Spirit Filled Believer is anointed and filled with the love of God.  That person is ‘permeated’ with God’s love and is totally focused on their relationship with God and the people around them.  They have ‘rivers of living water’ and ‘love’ flowing out of them.  The prayer for that anointing is the Prayer for the Ephesians: 

For this reason I kneel before the Father,? from whom every family?in heaven and on earth derives its name.? I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,? so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,? may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,? and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God……Ephesians 3:14-19 

The prayer in this letter from Paul is directed to the believers in Ephesus, written while Paul was in prison in Rome.  Recall that Paul had initially converted them about 8 years ago……  they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying” (Acts 19:5-6).  The Ephesians are Paul’s spiritual ‘children’. He is preparing them to go beyond where they are currently at spiritually, and enable them to ‘walk in love’ in a godless society that worships Artemis.  

The prayer has 4 dimensions, and he is asking the Father to give them understanding, and to visualize what they are in.  As they look up, look down, look to the side, and look ahead and behind……it is endless.  It is the Holy Spirit. You can tell it has length, that it has direction,…because it is flowing.  As it flows, it flows through the believer.  It passes through the believer and permeates every cell of their being.  The Spirit of God is filled with love, it is filled with life and it is filled with power….and you can ‘feel’ the love, because the tears start to fall.  It is His anointing, ….and you are filled with the Holy Spirit. 

The love of God controls you, and like Photini, the woman at the well, you begin to tell others.  As you speak to them, touch them, and pray for them…. you feel the love, the life and the power in your words and actions…..for it is from God……and they too are changed.   Forever. 

The Holy Spirit is a River of Love and Life Flowing through a Spirit Filled Believer
