Youth Group Leader | Eagle Hills Church

Summary:

• Eagle Hills Church has an immediate opening for a Youth Group Leader. The person in this role manages our Youth Group for teens and pre-teens, working with church members, staff, volunteers and committees to support the church’s mission to grow disciples for Jesus Christ.

Responsibilities:

• Recruit teens and pre-teens for Eagle Hills Church Youth Group.
• Plan and coordinate a regular program of Youth Group activities
• Communicate with the congregation regarding the purpose, value, and activities of the Youth Group via newsletters and bulletins

• Oversee the purchase, distribution, and use of all necessary equipment and supplies

• Coordinate Youth Group programs with Eagle Hills Church activities or sermon topics

• Evangelize the Youth Group program to other church groups, such as the Sunday School and other groups

• Teach a confirmation class to graduating Sunday School children

• Understand and implement the church’s Safe Sanctuary policies and procedures

• Meet with senior pastor weekly and agree on tasks and priorities

Qualifications:

• Strong Christian spiritual foundation

• Ability to embrace the vision, values and mission of the Eagle Hills Church

• Friendly, outgoing personality and a sense of humor

• Strong social skills – need to be the heart of the program

• A love of working with teens and pre-teens

• Organizational and administrative skills

• High-energy

• Flexible schedule (this role has seasonal periods of high and low activity)

Commitment:

• Part-time position of 10 hours per week

Pay rate:

• $20.00 per hour

Accountability:

• Reports directly to senior pastor and SPRC
• First performance review after three-month evaluation period; annual performance review thereafter
• Expected commitment of at least one year
